The Wuhe complex is located at the southeastern margin of the North China Block and belongs to the Precambrian metamorphic basement.It is exposed in the Bengbu area and its neighbourhood.The Wuhe complex consists of the metamorphosed igneous mafic and felsic rocks and supracrustal rocks associated with the Paleoproterozoic foliated K-feldspar granites and Mesozoic granitoids,constituting the “Bengbu uplift”.Its main rock types comprise a variety of lithologies, including garnet amphibolite, garnet granulite, rodingite, garnet-plagioclase-amphibolite gneiss,granitoid gneiss,micaschist,marble,quartzite and meta-sandstone.These rocks contain similar peak metamorphic minerals such as garnet,clinopyroxene,plagioclase, rutile and quartz.As a result,combined with their zircon U-Pb ages,it is suggested that they suffer from a common high pressure granulite facies metamorphism in Palaeoproterozoic.The multiphase solid inclusions within garnet porphyroblasts are discovered from the g

Carbon transportation by river system constitutes a key link of the global carbon cycle .Based on monthly sampling and analysis of riverine particulate organic matter for a full hydrological year in the Wuhua River, eastern Guangdong Province , the characteristics and sources of particulate organic matter in the river were discussed and carbon transport fluxes were estimated .The results show that the average contents of particulate organic carbon (POC) and particulate organic nitrogen (PON) in the Wuhua Riv-er are 0.77 mg/L and 0.12 mg/L, respectively, which are much higher during the flood season than those during the dry season.The relationships between discharge and the TSS , POC, PON contents, and the ratio of C to N reveal that the POM of the Wuhua River is mainly from soil organic matter within the drainage basin, which is decomposed by microorganisms during transportation .POC and PON fluxes ex-ported by the Wuhua River are 430 kg/(km 2.a) and 70 kg/(km 2.a), respectively.The o

On the basis of sand excavation,river regime and measured profile data in the lower Qinhe River,the effect of sand excavation on the channel was analyzed. The sand excavation scheme combining with river training and measures control of abnormal river regime caused by sand ex-cavation was presented in this paper. Study results show that with the influence of sand excavation,the current designed water level comparing with measured value averagely decreases 3. 12m from Wulongkou to Danhekou and 1. 69m from Danhekou to Xubao;the river training discharge is suit-able for 600 m3/s in the lower Qinhe River,while the sand excavation width in corresponding cross-section is 250m above Danhekou and 300m from Danhekou to Shijingqiao,and the average sand excavation depth is controlled in 3m and the total quantity of sand excavation is 8. 5 million m3 from Wolongkou to Shijingqiao;measures for abnormal river regime based sand excavation control may be improved gradually,and abnormal river

This paper takes the water quality of the main tributaries of the backwater areas in Wanzhou section in Three Gorges Reservoir as the research target. The soil across the river, river stone, five bridges over the river and tributaries Limonene River backwater area 4 are monthly monitored from January 2011 to December 2013 in terms of 5 permanganate indexes:total nitrogen, total phosphorus, chlorophyll a, transparency, etc. and evaluated the related results with trophic state index method. Through the line chart, box plot and Mann-Kendall method it analyzes the spatial and temporal distribution of the tributaries eutrophication backwater area. The results showed that flows through the area predominantly agricultural soil river, river stone, and five bridges over the river three rivers have summer seasonal eutrophication, while Limonene River passing through the urban area constantly in the perennial state of eutrophication.
