The outstanding features of the Nine Odes written by Quyuan , is that in the right middle of each verse line there is a Chinese character “Xi” , whose usage and meaning are unique .In English translation version of the Nine Odes , transla-tors respectively adopt various methods to deal with the character “Xi”.Arthur Waley’s translation of the character “Xi” gain not only its meaning but also remain its form of the character .By analyzing the character “Xi” and comparing the translation with that Chinese famous translators , it is found that Arthur Waley’s translation may be more in accord with the original mean-ing of the character “Xi”.

长久以来，人们对苗族古歌Niangx Eb Seil的搜集和研究不断。由于没与苗语Niangx Eb Seil读音完全对等的汉语，学界对其名称的翻译有好几种。根据顺应论，建议把Niangx Eb Seil汉译为仰阿莎，英译为Niangx Eb Seil（niɑ?55?u33 sei11）。

There are a lot of collections and survey about Miao oral epics Niangx Eb Seil. The translation of Niangx Eb Seil is myriad, because there aren’t any Chinese words whose pronunciation are equivalent to Niangx Eb Seil . We suggest that we translate Niangx Eb Seil into Chinese as Yang A Sha, and English as Niangx Eb Seil(niɑ?55?u33 sei11)in terms of adaptation theory.

对于《诗经·郑风·女曰鸡鸣》一诗的诗体,程俊英先生界定为联句诗之祖。从诗歌的内容来说,此诗由男女对话组成,其形式乃对话体,已无可争议。但并不能因为它的对话性质就认为它是联句诗。对于联句诗,古人大都认为其源头是《柏梁诗》,现代有学者认为最早的联句诗是《庚歌》,除程俊英先生外,从未有人将《女曰鸡鸣》和联句诗联系在一起。从联句诗的特点看,《女曰鸡鸣》完全不符合联句诗的特点。所以,不能简单地根据诗歌的对话形式,将此诗定义为联句诗之祖。

According to Cheng Junying ,who is an outstanding scholar in the field of The Book of Songs study ,the poetic style of Nv Yue Jiming in Zheng Feng of The Book of Songs is the first joint authorship poem .Actually this song’s content is composed of the couple’s conver-sation ,so this song’s dialogic form is beyond dispute .But we can’t think it the first joint authorship poem only because of its dialogic form . Most of the ancient scholars thought The Bailiang Poem was the headstream of the joint authorship poems .Some modern scholars think Geng Ge is the first one .Except Cheng Junying ,there is nobody who related the joint authorship poem with Nv Yue Jiming .The joint authorship poems have their own features which Nv Yue Jiming fails to satisfy any one .Therefore ,this poem can’t be thought the fisrt joint authorship poem just simply from its dialogic form .

As a famous poet of the "New Moon Verse School"and literary translator,Sun Dayu makes great achivements in both poetry composition and poetry translation.He holds that each poem is composed of two inseperable parts,ie.Form and content.In the process of poetry translation,more attention should be paid to the unity of this two parts.This paper conducts a study on Sun Dayun''s early English-Chinese poetry translation,aiming to analyze his translational strategy of poetic form.In the given social and cultural context,Sun Dayu tends to adopt the foreignization strategy so as to keep the adequacy of the origi-nal poetic form.
