A wire rope brake device was design to solve the problem of slipping accidents by wire rope loosening or fracture when the mountain orchard traction double-track transporter was working. Based on analyzing the principle of the structure of the wire rope brake device and the whole structure of the vehicle, the structure parameters of the brake lever and the walking mechanism were determined. After analyzing the kinematics principal of the braking process, a model was established by the software of SolidWorks. The virtual prototyping of brake device and track beam based on the simplified model of brake device was thrown into the software of ADAMS/View, in order to determine the kinetic changes of braking process. Using successful brake rate as the test index, the braking bench test and high speed photography collision test were carried out. In view of the shortcomings that the disc brake of the existing downward belt conveyer is ineffective using the constant deceleration control method based on precision mathematical model and the brake process has large impact to the conveyer,the paper introduces a new disc brake device for downward belt conveyer with precise control of constant de-celeration and little impact to the conveyer during braking process,with the characteristic analysis and dynamic test study conducted.The test result shows that this disc brake can realize constant deceleration and micro-impact safety braking for the downward conveyer,hence to avoid any accident occurrence.

According to the driving cycle of heavy off-road vehicles, the brake power and energy permutation is analyzed, and the performance requirement for the hybrid energy storage system( HESS) is achieved based on the brake energy recovery rate and motor parameters. The parameter matching method for the HESS is proposed and by which the instance calculation for the hybrid propulsion system of 21 tons class vehicles is carried out, and the performance of the HESS with Li-ion cells and ultra capacitors is discussed too. The instance calculation and the test results indicate that the designed HESS can meet the requirement of the total performance of the HEV and the brake energy recovery, the volume and weight answer for the restriction of the top design of the HEV. The designed HESS with ultra capacitors can increase the transient power volume greatly and the brake performance and the brake energy recovery rate are enhanced remarkably.

The result shows that, the temperature rise and disc thermal stress of 2# material brake disc is much better than that of 1#material and thus providing basis for the material selection of high speed train brake disc.
