Ideology ,as an invisible power ,manipulates the literature and translation .Ku Hung-Ming′s English translations of Confucian classics are very special ,however ,the traditional translation criteria ,which usually focus on the comparison between the source text and target texts ,can′t give a very reasonable explanation .While Ideological Manipulation of the translation shows us a new perspective to analyze Ku′s translations .This paper examines Ku′s translations of Lunyu and Zhongyong to reveal how ideology manipulates the process of translation in the aspects of the choice of source text and the choice of the translation strategy .

His works have eternal value in Chinese literary and cultural history.

Through analyzing Ku''s English version from the perspective of Skopos Theory, this paper concludes that his translation is faithful to the original text.
