历代史志目录中,班固《汉书·艺文志》"诸子略小说家"首次对"小说"进行相关记述。《汉书·艺文志》"小说家"这一"源"对后世子部小说这一"流"产生深远影响。《汉书·艺文志》"小说家"对后世子部小说的选材影响主要表现在题材、内容、思想三方面。《汉书·艺文志》还在小说观方面确立了两种基本模式:一为实录精神;二为"君子弗为"与"一言可采"的矛盾性。
It is the first time for Record of Literature in Hanshu to record fiction. It has influenced on fiction recorded in Zi. On the one hand, it has selected materials included theme, content and idea. On the other hand , it has structured two methods in perception of fiction:the sprite of fact record and the contradiction between utility and futility.

Rather than a mere collection of story-tellers’scripts recording story-telling skills in the Song Dynasty ,Luo Ye’s Zuiweng tanlu醉翁谈录is characterized by its construction of a theoretical system of popular novels in the Song Dynasty,thus gaining due significance in the history of Chinese literature. The theoretical pursuit of the book,as exemplified by Chapter Shegeng xuyin舌耕叙引,is mainly man-ifested in its combination of the traditional novel concept and the theoretical innovations made in the Song Dynasty. The paper is based on the exploration of “Jiu Ge”, supposing that “Jiu” should be definite and indicates“nine” essays. By referring to the record from Si Maqian, the study proposes the twenty five specific names of the essays implied by Ban Gu. Besides, the naming of the works of Qu Yuan has also been a controversy. In response to that, the study summarizes different arguments and investigates the word “Qu Ci”.

The part of Zi (works of masters, philosophers, and other treatises) in the Four Categories of ancient Chinese books is very complicated, and it includes all the books that cannot be classified into the other three parts. Classification of this part among Dunhuang documents is much more complicated owing to their particularity. On the basis of the classification of the Summary of the General Catalogue of the Four Categories while consulting the classification of other books of classic catalogues, the author classifies these documents into seven categories according to their actual contents: namely, works of masters, medicines, astronomy, and algorithms, horoscopy, reference books, art, and religions. Descriptive texts and explanation about the types of subgroups of each category are also provided.
