Comparing with middle Chinese phonology,the present paper analysis of the phenomenon of ancient tones in Liupanshui dialect;Through textual part of the ancient words in Liupanshui dialect ,it tries to explain the words of the ancient Chinese tradition.

In the mid of 1960s’, the Party Central Committee proposed a great strategy on construction of third-tier cities according to the current international situation as well as China''s social economic and natural condition. Liupanshui was born in the third-tier cities construction in Guizhou Province. The third-tier cities construction suprred the development of various undertakings and accelerated Liupanshui’s cultural prosperi-ty and social progress. During that period of time, the mode of“running school by enterprises”poured vigor into Liupanshui’s education. In this paper, the research was done on the schemes for leading the Guiyang-Liupanshui intercity railway into the Liupanshui district, in order to make the scheme more reasonable in technology and economy and acquire the maximum social benefits. Meanwhile, relevant factors were taken into account, including the passenger and freight traffic functions, the coordination with urban planning, the environmental impact, the topographical and geological conditions, the construction investment and so on. One of the schemes is that:after being led into Shuangshui Station, the Guiyang-Liupanshui intercity railway utilizes the existing Shanghai-Kunming Railway line to enter into the Liupanshui district. This scheme has many advantages, because it can make full use of site location resource and passenger transport facility of existing station, and can be convenient for passenger transfer with small interference on city development. Therefore, in this paper, it is suggested that a further research

Mining development greatly promoted the population growth and social development in the region. However,because of the heavy tax, overexploitation and war, at the end of the Qing dynasty, the mining fell into decline in Liupanshui.
