Beautiful melody, harmonious rhythm, and cadenced tone form the musical beauty characteristic of lyrics. Modal particles, reduplicated words, classical poetry and Chinese and English words are widely used, thus making what is conveyed in lyrics meticulous and emotional; defamiliarization devices such as flexible use of parts of speech, unique collocation and complication of syntactic constituent highlight the focus of lyrics and bring about the experience of novelty and peculiarity. And diverse rhetorical devices such as metaphor, analogy and metonymy make lyrics lively and easy to sing, presenting songs’ unique artistic charm.

A music player software is developed based on Android platform. The player has mainly realized scanning SD card , background player, singer and the album screening, music list management, synchronized lyrics scrolling display, the playback mode selection, skin replacement, download from network, and desktop Widget functions. Firstly, the Android application development environment and tools are introduced briefly. Secondly, introduces in detail the interface layout, automatic scanning mechanism of music, lyrics and the lyrics synchronization algorithm for the search and download. The lyrics synchronized display scrolling undertook thorough analysis. The music player has been tested in Android intelligent mobile phone. It has good integration and stability.

The current study embarks upon a tentative exploration into the lyric analysis of A Farewell to Er Dingmu using the register theory and the three metafunctions of language, with the attempt to test the practicability and feasibility of the two theo-ries in lyric analysis. It is found that the transitivity system, voice system, and logical relations in the discourse are all influenced by the lexical items used in the lyric. Meanwhile, the two types of tenor in“A Farewell to Er Dingmu”reveal the unbalancedness in a relationship. Finally, the lyric differentiates itself from other genres by its distinctive metre, rhyme, and stylistic features.
