Louvered fins are widely used in compact heat exchangers.Two kinds of louvers were proposed based the traditional rectangle louver.The flow field and thermal field of louvered fins are simulated by sofeware FLUENT.The characteristics of heat transfer and resistance are compared to different kinds of louvers.Due to the changed flow sections,the spindle louver and rectangle/spindle louver have higher flow velocity near the heated tube wall,the heat transfer is enhanced and comprehensive performance is better than reactangle louver.The j factor of rectangule/spindle (2/1 )louver is highest and the compre-hensive performance is best.

Window-blinds system is one of the effective measures for building energy efficiency. In the light of the limitation of the existing blinds, designed a new rotary adjustable blinds system, which is able to balance shading and ventilation better. From the contrast experiment on the new blinds and the traditional one, analyze the effects of new blinds on indoor solar radiation and ventilation rate. Experimental results show that, controlling a certain rate of ventilation, the indoor radiation heat gain can be decreased by 75%when using the rotary adjustable blinds;controlling a certain amount of radiation, the ventilation quantity can reach more than 30%of traditional blinds. Comprehensive analysis shows that, to reduce indoor solar radiation and increase indoor ventilation, the effect of new rotary adjustable blinds is remarkable.

External shading blind with chain traction was developed. Louver flipping mechanism and lifting mechanism were designed. It can adjust the shutter angles to make the louvers roll up or down. The comprehensive shading coefficient was calculated to determine its shading performance,which is at the fifth level. In Shanghai,the blind’s effect on building energy consumption was analyzed with DeST-h. The results show that,compared with no shade and horizontal sun visor,the cooling load decreased by 180.55,kW·h and 62.95,kW·h respectively. The louver’s structure was statically simulated with SolidWorks. The result shows that the wind pressure-resistance strength of the louver is in a reasonable range.

The theoretical model of the multiple micro_channel parallel flow condenser is established based on the method of distribution parameters, and validity of the model is verified by comparison with the experimental data.Based on this model, the effects of fin height, fin pitch, louver pitch and louver angle on the heat transfer and flow performance of multiple micro_channel parallel flow condenser are in_vestigated.The results show that, as increasing of fin height, the heat transfer rate increases, but the air_side pressure drop decreases;when fin pitch increases, or louver pitch increases, the heat transfer rate and air_side pressure drop all decrease; as increasing of louver angle, the heat transfer rate and air_side pressure drop all increase.

Longitudinal finned tube heat exchanger is a new type of tube heat exchanger used in flue gas heat recovery. In order to improve the heat transfer efficiency,the structural model of a new type of longitudinal louvered fin tubes was proposed and simplified. Using Fluent Software,the process of flow and heat transfer in gas phase was simulated for the longitudinal louver fined heat exchangers,and the transfer efficiency and pressure drop of two types of longitudinal louver fin and the common type exchanger were compared. The results showed that the heat transfer efficiency of longitudinal louvered fin heat transfer were over 130% higher than that of the common type. This paper simulates the changes of transfer and pressure drop at six different inlet velocities,and analyzed the influences of heat transfer and pressure drop caused by the difference of spacing and inclination angles on longitudinal louver fin. A three dimensional fluid-solid interaction model is established for the radiator shutter , and numerical simulation of heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics is conducted in air side of the radiator by Laminar model .It is found that the heat transfer and friction performance have good agreement with the correlations in the literatures , so the model is verified correctly;To further clarify the performance of louvered fin in the air side , fin height, louver height, fin thickness and fin pitch are changed to obtain the relationship between the parameters and the characteristics of heat transfer and pressure drop of louvered fin , and it is obtained that a group of structural parameters of louvered fin , the comprehensive performance of which is better .

As a key part of the horizontal bias combustion (HBC) technology, the louver coal concentrator (LCC) has been developed and successfully applied to many large-scale utility boilers. To further study the effect of the flow field structure on performance of LCC, the experimental study on flow field structure was carried out using a laser sheet system, and the full-field images were obtained. The results show that the wall near the fuel-rich side is abraded by the particles which are enriched down by the blades. Thus the division plate with proper size can be put in the exit of the LCC in order to avoid the early mix of the fuel-rich and fuel-lean airflow. The different concentration in the front of the blade varies abrasion characteristics, thus the anti-abrasion of the each blade should be considered respectively in practical application. The amount of powder in fuel-lean side is changed by adjusting the space of the blades in order to improve the performance of the concentrator.

In this paper, the resistance and heat transfer characteristics of louvered-fin which was used extensively in air conditioner is analyzed with three-dimensional numerical simulation. The theoretical analysis result is almost consistent with experiment. In additional, the characteristic of another bridge fin is evaluated with simulation. The resistance coefficient of bridge fin is less than that of louvered fin, but has no advantage of heat transfer characteristics than louvered fin.
