Applying Robert Young’s translation theory, which is based on his postcolonialism theory, to analyze The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian (2007) written by American Indian writer Sherman Alexie. In this novel, On one hand, the white people want to make Indian culture to be their subordinate culture through translating; on the other hand, the protagonist Junior, who owns an active awareness of revolt, makes his marginal voice been heard by making his culture translated, thus, making his identity reconstruct.
