Discusiónis a collection of essays by Jorge Luis Borges. It has been translated and published in Chinese, in-cluded in Borges’CompleteWorks, published by Zhejiang Publishing House in 1999. However, not all the translations are correct and elegant. In this article we just intend to analyze the mistakes in the translation of Discusión, and we would like to point out that these errors are due to misunderstanding of the text and ignorance of the context in which Borges elucidated his thought.
