Tree-ring records changes of climate and environmental factors in the process of growth.Some plants can survive over the rocky desertification process own to their sprouting ability.Tree ring of Neolitsea homilantha in Shi-lin karst region.The relationship between sprouter growth and environment factors were investigated in Yunnan Province.The results were as follows:Individuals of N .homilantha was significantly different from each other;The ring width and ring index of N .homilantha had large variations between different sample trees,and the ring width and ring index were increased in association with basal diameter increases;The ring index of N .homilantha was pos-itively correlated with precipitation of the rain season,while it was negatively correlated with precipitation of the dry season,and it was also negatively correlated with temperature of May,June,November and December.But all of the relationships were not statistically significant.These results indicated that the

For comparing radial growth of Larxi gmelinii ( Rupr.) Using EXcelland SPSS statistical software ,we analyzed the tree ring width data of Picea asperata in Beishan National Forest Park ,Huzhu County ,Qinghai Province from Statistics and tree - ring climatology .The main characteristic parameters of tree - ring width chronology were calculated and the sensitivity of local tree ring sequence responses to climate was analyzed .We have extracted the climate in-formation which effects tree growth and got climatic factor’s distribution of nearly 30 years in the region . The results showed that :many weather information was included in Picea asperata tree ring sequences , Beishan National Forest Park ;Climatic factor is the limiting factor of trees growth ;Through factor analy-sis ,relatively little rainfall and increased evaporation due to increased temperatures were occurred over the past decade leading to slowly grow th of trees in the area .

To investigate the climate response of radial growth of Picea crassifolia at the lower tree line in the middle Qilian Mountains, northwestern China, relationships of standardized chronologies of annual, earlywood and latewood width to monthly mean temperature and monthly total precipitation were analyzed by methods of correlation and pointer year analysis. The results of the relationship between chronologies and temperatures and precipitation showed that width of annual ring, earlywood and latewood were significantly negatively correlated with monthly mean temperature in June and July. Annual and earlywood width were significantly positively correlated with monthly total precipitation in March, May and June, and negatively correlated with monthly total precipitation in September. Earlywood width was more sensitive to climate than latewood width, which was insignificant with precipitation. The tree-ring standardized chronology series (TRSC) in 173 years was established based on the tree-ring width data of Songpan Plateau.The correlations between the TRSC and meteorological elements were analyzed using the response function,linear correlation and partial correlation methods.The result shows that the TRSC responses to precipitation sensitively in May.And the precipitation in May in Songpan Plateau was reconstructed.Furthermore,the change characteristics of precipitation were analyzed.The results show that there are 5 wet periods and 3 dry periods of the precipitation in May in Songpan Plateau in the past 173 years.During the 16 reconstructed climate-periods,it was the lowest for precipitation in 1961-1990,while 1837-1860 was the highest.The reconstructed series show abrupt change at many times,with credible abrupt point appearing in 1863,1874,1890,1904,1958 and 1994.It is found that the periodic cycles about 2~4 years,16 years and 32~50 years are significant.

According to two sets of samples of young Pinus thunbergii trees obtained from two individual sites in Mengshan Mountain, single-point and regional tree-ring width chronologies were developed.Based on statistical parameter from the chronologies, we analyzed relationships between tree radial growth and climate limiting factors, tried to reconstruct the related climate factors, and further explored the relationships between the radial growth and large-scale climate change of Pacific Ocean.The results showed that: (1) the statistical parameters of tree-ring width chronologies were high that indicated the pine trees from Mengshan had high sensitivity to the climate change.
